Falling into Winter - Rocky Lake Woodshed

Zak preparing to unload the lumber.
After a summer of traveling around the state I have opted to take most weekends off from work, to escape some of the rat race and enjoy some of fall in Alaska. Although that hasn't turned into any serious outdoor pursuits yet it has resulted in in this; a new woodshed for the Rocky Lake cabin at the request of Uncle Jim (my girlfriend's uncle). The shed was constructed over two weekends and time will tell if the design roughly based on plans found online and a bit of imagination is as efficient as we hope.
The cement pillar bases worked like a charm.
Deck made out of 2x2 slats.

This is a skookum design, built to last.

All finished, the design is supposed to maximize airflow to quickly dry fresh cut wood yet keep most sideways precipitation out. We'll see how that works this winter.
