Tetlin NWR - Biking in the Rain

It has been raining on and off here since yesterday afternoon, this isn't really a problem for me because I can go inside and use the time to organize the hours of footage from this trip. I have the luxury of a roof unlike the bikers who I pass on the highway every day. They are packing everything with them, and while some are close to the end of a journey others have only begun the long trek south. For them shelter from the rain is abandoned buildings, the occasional gas station, campground pavilion, or the ultralight tents and tarps they pack with them. But nobody likes to set a tent up in the rain.

The photos are of a pair of South Koreans we met and filmed for the doc followed by two Dutch guys on a year and a half trip from Prudhoe to the tip of South America biking for water. Information about their project and updates on the ride can be found at their site www.cycleforwater.com.

This was his first bike trip, ever.
