Working on documentaries is always an education and this trip has proved it. Last week we were fortunate enough to receive an invitation to visit the Athabaskan fish & culture camp at Ten Mile Hill. A short 30 minute boat ride from the villiage of Northway brought us to camp where we were greeted by the Ten Mile Song. The main activity of the camp centered around whitefish which were caught in set-nets, de-scaled, cut, and hung to dry / smoke for 3-4 days. These have to be some of the most gracious and good people I have ever met, Thank you so much.
