Attu - the last C-130

Waiting can be hard, especially after spending a year away from family, friends, and civilization. True to weather in the Aleutians the day a C-130 was supposed to land and take the station crew home started out foggy and wet and continued that way all day long. Most of the day was spent speculating about the chance that the plane would land and then, at about 3pm we heard it make a couple passes over the island before landing on Shemya for the night. Friday morning brought a shift in the weather and a higher ceiling that allowed the C-130 to land.
