I was lucky to meet and briefly interview Ron Caswell while on Attu. After joining the Coast Guard right out of high school his first post was on Attu in 1973. Once back to civilization we sat down for a much longer interview, conducted by Francine Taylor, where he talked about how his experience on the island shaped who he is today. Ron currently works on the International Space Station as a Launch Package Engineer.
